After earning his DMD degree from Oregon Health Sciences University in 1990, Dr. Brad Mayerle completed a two-year residency
in general dentistry from Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dr. Mayerle is a member of the American
Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and is a founding member of the World Congress of Microdentistry.
Dr. Mayerle grew up in Medford and is a Lewis and Clark College alumni. He regularly participates in local study clubs
and continuing education programs and resides in the area with his wife and daughter.
Dr. Ian Tydeman
A graduate of Oregon Health & Science University’s Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) program, Dr. Ian Tydeman is a member of
the American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association, Clackamas Dental Society and Seattle Study Group.
A native Oregonian, Dr. Tydeman attended Lakeridge High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from the
University of Puget Sound. After college, Dr. Tydeman volunteered in hospitals in India, and performed infectious disease
research at Oregon Health and Sciences University before becoming a dentist. Dr. Tydeman enjoys travelling, fishing,
backpacking, old Land Rovers and time with his wife and son.
Mindi Koehl—Office Manager
Mindi was first introduced to dentistry by her father when she began helping him at his office at the age of 12. Since
then, Mindi has gained experience in periodontist and pedodontist offices and has been working with Dr. Brad Mayerle
since 2000.
A native Oregonian, Mindi enjoys white water rafting, sewing, eating out, and bundling up next
to a warm fire during the winter. She is married with two daughters who are both attending the University of Oregon.
With her daughters off to college, Mindi is exploring the possibility of volunteer dentistry for under-privileged
children in other countries.
Sarah Roadruck—Hygienist
After graduating from Centennial High School, Sarah began working as a dental assistant. She later moved to Buffalo, New
York where she was accepted into a Dental Hygiene program. Upon graduation, she was awarded the President’s Award of
Excellence for her studies.
After graduation, Sarah moved back to Oregon. In 2006, she joined Mayerle Dental.
When not travelling, Sarah enjoys many outdoor activities including boating, hiking, camping, fishing, quad riding,
and equestrian show jumping. She resides in Lake Oswego with her husband-to-be and German Shepherd.
Tonya Wilks—Hygienist
Tonya became a Certified Dental Assistant at Spokane Community College. She served as a dental assistant for 10 years
before becoming a registered dental hygienist at the University of New Haven. Tonya soon joined Mayerle Dental and has
been enjoying working here ever since.
Tonya grew up in the Northwest and enjoys activities such as gardening,
cooking, shopping, and skiing. Her home includes her husband, two sons, and a Shih Tzu.
Miji Shaw—Dental Assistant
Miji joined Mayerle Dental this year to support Dr. Ian Tydeman. Miji enjoys long walks with her two dogs, visiting local
wineries on sunny afternoons and working in her garden. In the midst of a bathroom remodel, Miji has found Dr. Ian to be an
extremely capable source of guidance regarding bathroom vanity installation.
Alisha Aiken—Front Desk
Alisha started with Mayerle Dental in the summer of 2008. Being new to dental, she has learned a lot and couldn’t ask for
a more phenomenal team to learn from. Alisha lives in Sherwood with her husband and four dogs. In her free time, she enjoys
long weekend trips to Bend, travelling, shopping, time in the sun and spending time with family and friends.
Nicole Wesson—Dental Assistant
Nikki moved to the Portland area 13 years ago from Corvallis, Oregon and enjoys hiking, golfing and working out.
She spends a lot of time with her children—Zack, eight years and Payton, six years. Both are very involved with
sports—basketball, baseball and soccer. Nikki lives in Tualatin, Oregon.
Tera Dunbar—Hygienist
Born and raised in Medford, Tera began working for an oral surgeon at age 15 providing front office and sterilization
assisting duties. A few years later, Tera graduated from Lane Community College with a degree in Dental Hygiene. A
volunteer for the American Red Cross for six years, Tera enjoys rafting, hiking, and reading the newspaper.
Wendy Halverson—Dental Assistant
Wendy began working as a dental assistant shortly after graduating from high school in 2001. She received her dental
assisting certification through Portland Community College and has really enjoyed working with—and learning from—the
Mayerle Dental team. In her spare time, Wendy spends time with her one-year-old son, Jayce, and her husband, Todd.
She can usually be found shopping, camping, and enjoying time out in the sun.
